When things go wrong in our lives, we have to believe God for victory in every situation and make every effort not to worry.
What is worry? It is when we allow a problem to consume us. We may even say speak bad things over us and our life like: “This is going to be bad!” or “Nothing ever works out for me!” When we have thoughts like these, it makes God sad. He does not want us to worry about our problems. And more importantly, he does not want us to believe we will not overcome these problems because we can! In God’s word, he said he would make our burdens light if we just bring them to him in prayer and let him work them out. Some people say that you do what you can do and let God do the rest. That is true but only to a certain point. If our doing all we can do removes God from the situation, it is not good. Why should God step in and take care of things if we can handle it ourselves? But we also have to reach out to him to receive his guidance and help. For example, if you have a test at school, you have to study. You cannot expect to receive an “A” when you did not learn what is going to be on the test. But if you have studied and paid attention in class and you are just nervous, if you pray to God about the situation, he can step in and give you peace. You will be able to think clearly. There is a fine line we walk in doing what we can do and letting God do the rest. In the end, we always have to remember that God is God and that nothing is impossible with him! So, in prayer, we have to ask him every day to guide us and to help us to do what is right and what we should do. Once we do those things, if bad things still happen, as they will, that is when God will step in to take care of everything else. Trust God today to take care of you when you need help. When we do that, simply being will be less stressful. The God of all has our backs. That is reason NOT to worry.
